Whether like it or not but we all are
addicted to Coke, well, to be more
concrete to Diet Coke. Why? Well, not sure.. One of the most recognizable brands
in the world, certainly, knows also how to attract fashionable and stylish
customers. Increasingly brands are looking
beyond the horizons of their own brand world to renowned designers within their
sphere of interest in order to engage in lucrative collaborations by shifting the brand and making it more fashion-forward. And if done
carefully, this bonding is mutually beneficial.
Diet Coke has teamed up with cult fashion
brands to promote the brand to the wider audience. Diet Coke has a long history
of collaborating with designers.
The names include Karl Lagerfeld,
Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Moschino,
Etro etc. The list is impressive, as well as the design!
And, certainly, the collaborations did their work! People are ready to pay more then 20$ for one bottle, as
well as go out of their way to find the spot where the designer bottle is
available: they are not sold in every neighboring supermarket.
The latest designer to become creative
director of Diet Coke on their very special anniversary – 30 years, is Marc
Jacobs. The choice was precise, being a fashion genius, everything Marc Jacobs puts on the catwalk sells
out, spreads out instantly.
